After School Learning Centers
The Salvation Army operates four (4) After-School Learning Centers in Columbus, providing tutoring and mentoring to students from Columbus City Schools in grades 1-8. We are recruiting volunteers to tutor students in math and reading at the Learning Centers one day a week for two hours after school. We ask volunteers to commit to this opportunity once a week for a minimum of 10 weeks. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Because tutoring volunteers work directly with minor children, a current Ohio BCI/ FBI background check is required. Click here to download a background check form.
