Christmas Season Help

The Salvation Army helps families at Christmas through two major programs: Christmas Cheer and Adopt-a-Family.

If you anticipate needing Christmas help in 2011, please mark your calendar to register for Christmas Cheer in November 2011. Sign up is the week after Thanksgiving, beginning on November 28 through December 9, 2011.

Families may not register for Adopt-a-Family. Families in special circumstances will be chosen by our case workers for this program, sometimes from the list of families who registered for Christmas Cheer.

"It makes me feel really good that The Salvation Army can help me whenever I need it, because everybody needs help sometimes," says Natashia Smith, who sought help at The Salvation Army when she was a teen mother raising her son on her own, with few resources.
