Housing

Homeless families need more than a place to live. They need the resources and skills to secure and maintain employment, find child care, and/or secure transportation among other issues.

Our "Housing First" model assists homeless families in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing while linking families to existing community resources along with case management and on-going family support.

The Salvation Army participates in a Family Housing Collaborative in Franklin County comprised of several organizations that provide services to homeless families. YWCA Family Center provides referrals to The Salvation Army's Direct Housing Program and The Community Shelter Board offers direct client assistance for move in costs and rental assistance.
