What We Do

What We Do

The Salvation Army in Central Ohio is a collection of Salvation Army churches (called corps) and facilities where area residents can receive such services as:

  • Choice Food Pantries
  • After School Learning Centers
  • Senior activities and assistance
  • Case workers to serve the homeless community
  • Career Enhancement Center traininer and computer lab
  • Emergency Disaster Services
  • Access to rental and utility assistance in time of crisis
  • Ministers (called Officers) to provide spiritual counseling and to lead worship

In 2010, The Salvation Army in Central Ohio helped more than 96,000 people in Columbus and surrounding areas.

Our diverse range of programs and services would not be possible without the support or our Advisory Board, Funding and Program Partners, and the central Ohio community at large.
