Officers

Salvation Army Officers commit their lives to service in exchange for housing and a modest living allowance. Officers then take on leadership roles in local corps and throughout the ranks of The Salvation Army nationally and internationally. It’s one of the ways The Salvation Army is able to provide so many services at such a low cost.


Leading the region

The Salvation Army is the lead agency on Human Trafficking in Central Ohio, managing a large coalition working on the issue. The Salvation Army has also been chosen to replicate its successful housing program to the rest of the counties in the state.


Christmas

  • Christmas Cheer provides a holiday meal and a toy for each child. Serves about 7,000 families
  • Adopt-a-Family matches sponsors with families in need for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have Christmas wishes fulfilled.
  • Red Kettle Campaign allows the community at large to support our programs and interact with our staff and volunteers at kettle locations around the city.
  • Donations made at the Red Kettles support Salvation Army programs and services year-round.

  • We were founded in London, England in 1865.
