A Special Message to Christmas Volunteers
Dear Potential Volunteering Partner,
The Salvation Army offers myriad services in Central Ohio, including
three After School Learning Centers, Career Enhancement Centers, a summer
camp for kids, five food pantries, emergency services for low income individuals
and households, and a program that links homeless families with permanent
housing. And in the winter, we're even busier.
Coats for Columbus provides warm winter coats to children
and adults, three separate Christmas programs provide toys
and food to thousands of families each year, and pastoral services are offered in
five Worship centers. Last year alone we provided services to more than 70,600
individuals.
One of our most important fundraisers is our Annual Red Kettle Campaign.
The money raised during the Holiday Season supports our wide array of
services. It is thanks to the generous support of the thousands of people
who put money in the Red Kettles each year that we are able to continue
to provide services to the needy community of Columbus.
I encourage you to participate in this worthy cause. Not only will you
help us to continue the ability to provide services in Columbus, you will
feel rewarded by the simple, yet powerful responses from the hundreds
of shoppers with whom you come in contact. And lastly, you will be encouraging
new donors as the number one method children first contribute to a charity
is through The Salvation Armys Red Kettle Campaign.
Thank you in advance for considering us as a partner to volunteer this
Holiday Season. For more information or to volunteer, contact us
at Info@salvationarmycolumbus.org or read more here.
Blessings,
Major Frank Kirk
Divisional Secretary for Greater Columbus
