Coats for Columbus

Coats for Columbus (formerly, “Coats for Kids”) is one of our longest standing programs. Each fall, The Salvation Army collects thousands of new and gently used coats donated from all over central Ohio.

Through the generosity of our partners and sponsors as well as dozens of volunteers, coats will be collected, sorted and cleaned. The cleaned coats will then be distributed free-of-charge to individuals and families in need in Greater Columbus.

Have a coat to donate?

All our partner donation sites have ended their coat drives as of Dec. 12, 2007. If you have coats to drop off, we'd love to have them! Please take them to 966 E. Main St. in Columbus. If you can't get there, you will need to hold onto them until next September when we start our collections again in earnest. For more information, call Alice Hohl at 614.437.2138.

Help promote Coats for Columbus!

Place a poster and collection box in your place of business, or organize a coat drive in your community! For details, call Alice Hohl at 614.437.2138.
