HousingHomeless families need more than a place to live. They need the resources and skills to secure and maintain employment, find child care, and/or secure transportation among other issues. The Direct Housing Program assists homeless families in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing while linking families to existing community resources along with case management and on-going family support. The Salvation Army participates in a Family Housing Collaborative comprised of several organizations that provide housing services, including Jewish Family Services, Lutheran Family Services, Catholic Social Services and the YWCA Family Center. Who is Eligible: Eligible candidates in Franklin County must be a homeless family residing in the YWCA Family Center shelter. In Delaware and Union counties, eligible candidates must be working with an eligible organizations including People in Need, Helpline, the Delaware Department of Job and Family Services, or Union County Department of Job and Family Services.
