Seniors

In a partnership with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, The Salvation Army offers monthly food commodities to low income seniors. The food boxes are delivered to our five Centers for Worship and Service, where 1,200 pre-registered seniors pick up their food box each month.

Items in the food boxes include cereal, dry milk, juice, meat, evaporated milk, protein (beans or peanut butter), grain (spaghetti or rice), canned fruit and vegetables.

In addition, our West Mound Worship and Service Center operates the Golden Age Senior Center twice a week. For more information see The West Mound Center for Worship and Service.

Who is eligible:  Persons living in Franklin County who are over 60 years old and at or below 130% of the poverty line.

How to access the program:  Contact The Salvation Army Worship and Service Center in your area.
